IMPORTANT DATES AND INFORMATION

FALL CEREMONIES

• DOCTORAL GRADUATION AND HOODING CEREMONY (Ph.D. & Ed.D.):  The Doctoral Graduation and Hooding ceremony for Ph.D. and Ed.D. graduates will take place on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 4:00 PM in the Bettersworth Auditorium in Lee Hall. This event is invitation-only. Please contact the Graduate School for additional information.
• STARKVILLE CAMPUS COMMENCEMENT:  The Starkville Campus Commencement Ceremonies will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024, inside the Humphrey Coliseum.   Please check with your school to determine which ceremony you will be participating in and what time to be present.
• MSU-MERIDIAN COMMENCEMENT:  The MSU-Meridian Campus Commencement Ceremonies will take place on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the MSU Riley Center.

GRAD FAIR

• Barnes & Noble at Mississippi State University will host a Grad Fair for Fall 2024 degree candidates on Monday, October 7, 2024, and Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.  Fall graduates will have the convenience of taking care of all their graduation needs at one time and place. During the event, upcoming Fall Graduates may:  purchase and receive their regalia on the day they attend and have pictures taken with regalia on. While this event is not mandatory, upcoming graduates are encouraged to attend.  If you are not able to physically attend the event during those dates, please contact the Barnes & Noble at Mississippi State University starting October 7, 2024, for additional assistance.  

REGALIA

• You may keep your entire regalia package.

LATIN HONOR CORDS

• Latin Honors cords are now available for eligible undergraduate students who meet the GPA and hours requirements found in the MSU Academic Catalog.  These cords will first be available for purchase at the Barnes & Noble at MSU during the Graduation Fair, and will continue to be available leading up to the ceremonies.  Eligible graduates from the Meridian Campus may purchase their cords at the Bulldog Shop.  The cost for Latin Honors cords is $14.96 each (incl. tax) and a photo ID must be shown prior to purchase to confirm eligibility.

ONLINE ORDER DEADLINE

• Regalia may be ordered online starting October 9, 2024, through 11:59 PM CT on November 11, 2024.  If you miss the deadline, you will need to visit the Barnes & Noble at Mississippi State (Starkville Campus) starting Wednesday, December 11, 2024, or the Bulldog Shop (Meridian Campus) starting Thursday, December 5, 2024, to be fitted from a limited supply of extras.  A $20 late fee will be assessed for all orders fulfilled at that time.

REFUND REQUEST DEADLINE

• Students with an online order may visit www.gradsupply.com/student-orders to request a refund before 11:59 PM CT on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.  After November 13, 2024, all regalia purchases are non-refundable.

REGALIA DISTRIBUTION

• • IF YOU CHOOSE IN-STORE PICK UP – STARKVILLE CAMPUS:  Wednesday, December 11, 2024, & Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM inside the Barnes & Noble at Mississippi State University Bookstore.
  • IF YOU CHOOSE IN-STORE PICK UP – MERIDIAN CAMPUS: Starting Thursday, December 5, 2024, inside the Riley Campus Bulldog Shop.
  • IF YOU CHOOSE SHIP-TO-HOME:  Your regalia order will be shipped during the week of November 20, 2024.

All student regalia orders are non-refundable purchases after the November 13, 2024, refund request deadline.  Prices below do not reflect the additional $20 late fee that will be added to orders placed after the November 11, 2024, deadline or the $20 shipping charge that will be added for SHIP-TO-HOME orders. 

• BACHELOR PACKAGE:  $57.76 incl. tax (Purchase – includes cap, gown, and tassel)
• MASTER/SPECIALIST PACKAGE:  $106.98 incl. tax (Purchase – includes cap, gown, tassel, and hood)
• DOCTORAL REGALIA PACKAGE:  $182.95 incl. tax (Purchase – includes tam w/gold bullion tassel, gown, and hood)
